In un sistema infrastrutturale così complicato e con un quadro normativo in evoluzione per la valutazione e il controllo dei rischi, lo sviluppo di uno strumento universale a supporto delle operazioni di gestione appare fondamentale. Le Linee Guida Italiane per la classificazione e gestione del rischio, per la valutazione della sicurezza e il monitoraggio dei ponti esistenti e delle gallerie esistenti, insieme alle Istruzioni Operative, forniscono un metodo ben strutturato che si basa su diversi livelli di azioni da intraprendere a seconda del livello di rischio che caratterizza la struttura (maggiore è il rischio, maggiore è l’impegno, ma misurato sulle effettive necessità).

A tutte le strutture, infatti, viene applicata la prima parte del processo, che riguarda la raccolta delle informazioni di base sulla struttura e il suo contesto, passando alle ispezioni visive per rilevare eventuali danni alla struttura e interferenze con fenomeni naturali, ed infine alla la classificazione del rischio. Successivamente, per le classi di rischio più elevate, vengono indicate la valutazione e il monitoraggio della sicurezza.

La vera sfida e necessità non si limitano alla creazione di un’infrastruttura IT per supportare l’esecuzione del metodo nudo, ma forniscono una piattaforma nazionale di monitoraggio globale che consenta la gestione e il monitoraggio di tutte le infrastrutture al fine di prevenire eventi critici.

In questo intervento, registrato a Genova presso i Magazzini del Cotone da Ingenio nel corso del Convegno FABRE del febbraio 2024, il Presidente di FABRE Prof. Walter Salvatore illustra caratteristiche e risultati dello studio condotto per la realizzazione di una piattaforma innovativa per la gestione di ponti e altre strutture secondo le nuove linee guida italiane.
