The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (DICA) of the University of Perugia inaugurates the Integrated Civil and Environmental Engineering Laboratory, created with the contribution of the “Department of Excellence” project for the five-year period 2018-2022.
The event will be held on October 22nd at 11:30 a.m. at the Engineering Center, located at Via Goffredo Duranti, 93, Perugia (PG).
The new Laboratory represents a strategic infrastructure for research and experimentation in the fields of structural and seismic engineering. It will be possible to:
- Conduct tests on full-scale structures to study their seismic behavior
- Test portions of buildings constructed with innovative construction technologies for earthquake resistance
- Subject full-scale bridge beams to vertical loads
- Perform tests on complex structural elements to analyze their performance
- Study methods for identifying defects and damage in structural components
- Design and validate strengthening techniques and advanced construction solutions
The academic and professional community is invited to participate in large numbers.
